“Dr. Mike Milligan: We’re at the Chicago Midwinter Meeting and we have a whole new system here, KoR Deep Bleaching. This is what I whiten my teeth with, we use it in our office and it works. I’ve got Dr. Rod Kurthy. Rod is everywhere in dentistry. He’s the idea guy in dentistry and has brought us so many things. Some things have changed and you are growing like crazy.
Dr. Rod Kurthy Improves KoR Whitening System
Dr. Rod Kurthy: As far as growth, we started out in a facility and we outgrew that and now as of June we moved in to our new facility which is 7 times larger where we were. That was only 7 or 8 months ago, and now we have outgrown that. It’s great, because we are lucky in that we have a system that actually works. The word is spreading and we’ve made some new changes. A lot of dentists come up to me and say they have heard I have the greatest system out there. It can tackle anything and it’s consistent, but I heard it’s a lot of work and costs a lot of money. That use to be correct. For the longest time, I tried to figure out how to overcome some of the negatives in the chemistry. The analogy I like to use is the perfect car. The perfect car sells for only $15,000 brand new, yet it’s more prestigious to drive than a Rolls Royce. It does 0 to 60 in only 3 seconds, but it gets 150 miles to the gallon, but it carries 15 passengers and all their luggage, but it fits into any parking space. It doesn’t exist, it can’t because of the more of this you want, the more of that you have to give up.
Tooth Whitening With the KoR Deep Bleaching System
Dr. Rod Kurthy: There are a lot of things we want whitening gels to do, but every time you get that it throws out something negative. As you know, I’ve been responsible over the years for several of the improvements in teeth whitening and chemistry. I couldn’t get around certain things. Then one night, I was out in the backyard smoking a cigar brainstorming and it hit me. What if I separated the chemistry? Instead of a dual barrel syringe, what if I had 3 or 4 barrels? A lot of things you just can’t mix together ahead of time. That would allow me to put more things in to do a lot more with the chemistry. I used three barrels and had a list of all of the positive things I wanted to accomplish and then a list of all of the negatives that were thrown off.”
